THE SCHOOL
The PBC Sunbeam School Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit, non sectarian private school which was founded in 1991 and authorized by the Department of Education to operate the following educational programs in accordance with the law and the prescribed policies and rules of the Department:
. Pre-School Education with government recognition 010- S.1994
. Elementary Education with government recognition E-046 S.2001
. Secondary Education with government recognition S-011 S.2006
A. HISTORY
In 1991 when the church Board of Plaridel Bible Church recognized that in the fulfillment of its mission as a church, it must address the need of reaching out to the children of Bintog, Plaridel Bulacan and its neighboring barangays. As a result of the vision, Plaridel Bible Church has decided to operate a school that will provide quality education and strong values formation for children especially to those belonging to low and middle-income families. The school was named PBC Sunbeam Pre-School Center.
On May 22, 1995, the Board of Elders, Deacons, Boards of Trustees, other church leaders and the chairman of Christian Education set up plans for the opening and operation of an Elementary school. It was then called, PBC Sunbeam School. The School started with Grade I in 1996, Grade II in 1997, Grade III in 1998, Grade IV in 1999, Grade V in 2000 and Grade VI in 2001 and in that same year, on June 27, 2001 PBC Sunbeam School was granted its Certificate of Recognition E-046 S.2001 by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, Region III.
In the year 2002, the Church Board decided to continue its vision of putting up the secondary school to cater for the needs of teenagers. The school aims to provide a venue for the students' physical, social, emotional, mental and spiritual development, thus giving them the best training preparation for their college years. And finally, on March 5, 2006 the High School Department was granted its certificate of recognition no.011 series of 2006 by the Department of Education, Region III. Indeed, once again, God has shown His faithfulness to the PBC Sunbeam School family.
Now, the school is continually moving on towards the fulfillment of its vision and mission that focuses on providing:

c. Firm foundation of discipline through guidance and counseling.
d. High standard services through day to day operations.

Mission
PBC Sunbeam School is a Christian School with a mission to serve the Lord through the ministry of Education by producing students equipped with excellent academic and firm spiritual foundation and well rounded personality.
Philosophy
PBC Sunbeam School believes that a child is a gift from God, created from His image and endowed with unique talents and abilities which must be developed in a way that will meet his total well being spiritually, intellectually, morally, socially, emotionally and physically as based from:
Proverbs 22:6
"Train up a child the way he should go.
When he grows up, he will not depart from it."
Specific Objectives
1. Instill in the hearts of children faith and trust in the living God.
2. Help in the nation's objective of self-sufficiency through a well-develop citizenry.
3. Provide an affordable education for the middle and low income families.
4. Provide family development programs.
5. Promote functional education which will meet the various needs and aspects of a child's development.
6. Inculcate Christian norms and positive Filipino values.
7. Produce God-fearing and useful citizens.
8. Instill nationalism, patriotism and good will in the hearts of the children.
9. Bring out the best in every child on the basis of his present development level.
B. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
1. Preschool Education (DECS Order No. 107, s. 1989)

a. To develop the child in all aspects (physical, social, moral, and spiritual, emotional, cognitive) so that he/she may be better prepared to adjust and cope with the situation within the context of experience.
b. To maximize the child's fullest potential through a variety of carefully selected and meaningful experiences considering his/her interest and capabilities.
c. To develop the child in all aspects so that he/she becomes a self-propelling, thinking and contributing individual able to make decisions that will prepare him/her for the more complex demands of future life

2. Elementary Education

a. To provide the knowledge and develop the skills, attitudes, and values essential to personal development necessary for living in and contributing to a developing and changing social milieu.
b. To provide learning experiences which increase the child's awareness of and responsiveness to the changes in and just demands of society; and to prepare him/her for constructive and effective involvement.
c. To promote and intensify the child's knowledge of, identification with, and love for the nation and the people to which he/she belongs.
d. To promote work experiences which will develop the child's orientation to the world of work and creativity and prepare himself/herself to engage in honest and gainful work.

3. Secondary Education

a. To continue to promote the objectives of elementary education by shifting its emphasis from the mastery of basic tools of learning, expression and understanding to the use and extension of the tools for further exploring and acquiring intellectual, social, moral and physical concepts, ideals, attitudes and skills in order to develop the whole human being.
b. To discover and enhance, in addition, the different aptitudes and interest of the individual student so as to equip him/her with skills to productive endeavor and thus prepare him/her for work in the real world and/or for further formal studies in higher education.

C. CURRICULUM PROGRAMS
1. Preschool Program - focuses on the Early Childhood Education (ECE) learning areas, which include activities that develop each child's communicative skills, sensory perceptional skills, socio-emotional skills motor skills and creative skills.
2. Elementary Program - adopts the 2002 Basic Education Curriculum (BEC). It aims to develop the spiritual, moral, mental and physical capabilities of the child, provide him with experiences in the democratic way of life, and inculcate ideas and attitudes necessary for enlightened, patriotic, upright and useful citizenship with the following objectives:

a. To inculcate spiritual and civic values and to develop learners into good Filipinos based on an abiding faith in God and genuine love of country.
b. To train the young citizen in his rights, duties and responsibilities in a democratic society for active participation, in a progressive and productive home and community life.
c. To develop a basic understanding about Philippine culture and the desirable traditions and virtues of our people as essential requisites in attaining national consciousness and solidarity.
d. To teach basic health knowledge as the foundation of desirable health habits and practices.
e. To develop functional literacy in Filipino and in English as basic tools for further learning.
f. To acquire the fundamental knowledge, attitudes, habits and skills needed in science, civics, culture, history, geography, mathematics, arts, and home economics and livelihood education and to intelligently apply these in appropriate life situations.

3. Secondary Program - adopts the 2002 Secondary Education Curriculum (SEC). Its objectives are:

a. To develop skills in higher intellectual operations, critical and creative thinking, and more complex comprehension and expression activities in varied life situations.
b. To broaden scientific and technological knowledge and skills as means for optimizing one's potentials for self-development and for promoting the welfare of others.
c. To develop an enlightened commitment to the national ideals by discerning, preserving, and developing desirable traditions and values of the Filipino heritage.
d. To acquire productive and entrepreneurial skills, a work ethic, and occupational knowledge essential both for making an intelligent choice as regards one's career and for specialized training in one's occupation.
e. To obtain knowledge, form desirable attitudes, and imbibe moral and spiritual values for understanding the nature and purpose of the human person and thus of one's self, one's own people, and other peoples, cultures and races both in our country and in the community of nations.
f. To heighten one's abilities in and appreciation for the arts and sports.

4. Computer Program - provided for all Pre-elementary pupils, elementary and secondary students:

a. To familiarize pupils and students with the concepts, terminology and applications of computer technology within their level of comprehension and interest and as a career choice.
b. To train pupils and students in operating computer hardware and to exercise proper care and maintenance of such equipment.
c. To train pupils and students in using varied computer software (including the Internet) as tools for learning.

D. SCHOOL SEAL
The school seal is a symbol of the PBC Sunbeam School Inc. family. The torch symbolizes the enlightened leadership of the administrators' faculty and staff. The book stands for wisdom and knowledge. It also represents the Bible as ultimate source of knowledge from God. The dove represents God the Holy Spirit who serves as our guide and great comforter. The number 1991 is the year the school was founded.
The name of the school and the place where it is located is written around the symbols shown by a circular shape that embodies the holistic goal of the school and oneness among the members of Sunbeam School family.
